Meet SpeakEasy’s newest team member, Isabella Jaye.

What is your role on the SpeakEasy team?

As an Account Executive on the SpeakEasy team I have the privilege of supporting the candidates and causes we work with to best-maximize the design and voter targeting tools that we offer. I love connecting with campaigns and helping them understand how they can leverage our services to execute a highly-effective, and affordable, media strategy. I also help develop new templated content – keep an eye on all the creative we’re rolling out in the weeks leading up to Election Day!

What’s your professional background?

Prior to joining the SpeakEasy team, I worked in public relations, advertising and social media marketing. For the last two years, I worked in New York City in marketing and ad sales for HGTV & DIY Network, where I helped execute television campaigns for major national advertisers.

Where’d you go to school & what’d you study?

I graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans in 2016. I majored in Marketing with a double minor in Management and Social Innovation & Social Entrepreneurship. I’m a native San Franciscan so am happy to be back home on the west coast, but I definitely miss the food and music in New Orleans.

How’d you get into politics and what brought you to SpeakEasy?

I grew up in a civic-minded family and always had an interest in politics. I interned at Storefront Political Media during college and joined SpeakEasy full-time earlier this year. I’m passionate about increasing citizen engagement, reducing the barriers to entry for new voices in politics and supporting the next generation of Democratic political leadership, so I’m incredibly excited to be on the team here at SpeakEasy.

What’s your favorite thing to do in San Francisco?

There are so many things on my list, but one of my favorites is taking my dog Delilah for a walk at Fort Funston on Sunday afternoons.

What was your first job?

My first job was working as a horseback riding summer camp counselor when I was in high school. It was completely exhausting, but a great first job experience.

Blue Bottle or Ritual for your coffee needs?

Blue Bottle – both because of their super-strong cold brew and because I love their waffles.
